SV Subbaredy the uncle of CM Jagan might continue as the TTD chief for another two years. His tenure will end on 21st of this month. There are also rumours that Jagan might send him to Rajya Sabha and nominate a new chief for the TTD.

The Board meeting of the TTD is scheduled for today where the members will take some crucial decisions for the development of the Hill Shrine in General.

Earlier there was a big controversy on the appointment of Subbareddy as the TTD chief. People branded him as a converted Christian. Jagan the CM is also a converted Christian.

Subba Reddy clarified saying “Every year, I go to Sabarimala and every few months, I go to Shirdi. Tell those who are spreading such news to visit my residences in Hyderabad or Ongole.

Let them see what kind of rituals we do. There is no merit to that baseless rumour,” he said, before pulling out a pendant of Sri Venkateswara and showing it to the camera.

“Jagan put in a request asking if I could serve as TTD Chairman for some days and later go to the Rajya Sabha as the elections were still some time away.

I take this responsibility as my fortune. I am very fortunate to serve Sri Venkateswara and to ensure that all devotees who visit the holy shrine are able to get their ‘darshan’ smoothly,” he added earlier.

Even now Subbareddy stated that he was willing to take up whatever responsibility that Jagan gives him. But there is a lot of work pending to improve the TTD he stated.

This indicates that he might continue in the same post.
