Surprise visit by YV Subba Reddy

TTD Chairman Sri YV Subba Reddy afternoon conducted a surprise inspection of the old Anna Prasadam Complex and directed officials to put sunshades for devotees and also keep premises hygienic.

During his interaction with devotees, he also tasted and enquired about the quality of Prasadam to which the devotees expressed satisfaction. Later he dined along with the pilgrims.The Six-day Homa Mahotsavams organised by TTD from January 16-21 for global harmony commenced at Sri Kapileswara temple on Monday.

The Homa Mahotsavam sponsored by the TTD Chairman Sri YV Subba Reddy comprised of Sri Subramaniam Swami Homam on Jan.17, Sri Durga, Saraswati and Lakshmi Homa on Jan.18, Sri Navagraha Homa on Jan. 19, Sri Dakshinamurthy Homam on Jan. 20, and Sri Rudra and Sri Mrutyunjaya Swami Homa on Jan.21.

On the auspicious occasion of Kanuma, Paruveta Utsavam was observed in Tirumala with religious fervour on Monday.

The processional deities of Sri Malayappa Swamy on a Tiruchi accompanied by Sri Krishna Swamy on another Tiruchi were brought to Paruveta Mandapam located in the interior woods of Seshachala hills.

Sri Malayappa wearing a head guard and five weapons viz. Sudarshana Chakra, Panchajanya Conch, Nandaka Sword, Kaumodaki Gada and Sarga bow was seated on a special platform with Sri Krisna Swamy by His side.

The Annamacharya Project artists rendered Sankeertans in a melodious manner followed by Nadaswaram.

After that Lord Krishna on the invitation of Sannidhi Golla visited their habitat and butter was offered as Naivedyam. The Sannidhi Golla was felicitated on the occasion.

Later, the most interesting episode of Mock Hunting by Sri Malayappa Swamy took place. The Weapon was thrown thrice by the office staff on behalf of Sri Malayappa. After Harati both the deities returns to the Temple. With this, the Paruveta Utsavam comes to an end.
