Raghvendra Singh Chauhan is appointed as Chief Justice of Telangana high Court. The Collegium comprising of CJI Ranjan Gogoi, Justice SA Bobde and Justice NV Ramana said that the judge is ‘suitable in all respects’ for being appointed as Chief Justice of the Telangana High Court.
Justice Chauhan, a Rajasthan High Court judge, has been appointed as the temporary chief justice of the Telangana High Court since February. From 1996 to 2005 he was practicing in the Rajasthan High Court. On June 13, 2005, he was appointed as a Chief Justice of Rajasthan High Court. On March 10, 2015, he was transferred to the Karnataka High Court. later, He was transferred to Telangana High Court after the state division in January. Justice Chauhan has been appointed as temporary Chief Justice. Since Justice Radhakrishnan got transferred to Calcutta High Court.
