As Mustafizur Rahman joined the team, now someone from the overseas quota has to pay the way for him if the Sunrisers captain Davi Warner would like to strengthen their bowling attack. But no chance he can drop the sensational Rashid Khan or the in form allrounder Moises Henriques. The only option left now is to leave out Ben Cutting and include Mustafizur. But now even that seems to be a risk as Cutting has bowled superbly in the two matches he played.
And his fielding in the outfield has also impressed everyone. But risk should be taken because the wicket in Mumbai is a flat one and Rahman’s yorkers can be handy on such wickets. Cutting has speed and that can give the batsmen liberty to free their arms.
Neverthless, Sunrisers confidence is pretty high at the moment after their two straight easy home wins and Mumbai Indians who have some injury problems to couple of their key players will be under some pressure infront of their home crowd. Their captain Rohit Sharma is yet to strike form and they might miss Rayudu in today’s match as well. For them Butler looked in good touch, but he is not converting his fine starts to big scores. If Mumbai is serious to win he has to do today at Wankhede stadium. In the lower order Keiron Polard should forget what people are talking about him and mainly concentrate on his game. He is a fantastic allrounder and on his day he can hammer any bowler around.
Certainly an interesting match is on cards in Mumbai tonight.
In yesterdays’ match Sanju Samson proved why has been rated high in domestic circles by scoring his first IPL century that too a magnificent one. The way he paced his innings was awesome yesternight against the Rising Pune Supergaints at MCA stadium, Pune. He got good support from Bilings in the early stage and then played some glorious strokes all around to entertain the big crowd. But it was Morris’ fireworks towards the end that kept the crowd on their toes as Delhi Darevils, put into bat, put up a big 205 on the board and then bowled out Pune for a meagre 108. Zaheer Khan bowled a fantastic spell and was well supported by Amit Misra.
