TTD plans to organise the 43th Death Anniversary of renowned epigraphist Sri Sadhu Subramanya Shastri on September 10.

Floral tributes to his bronze statue at SVETA Bhavan will be offered in Tirupati.

Sri Sadhu Subramanyam Shastri rendered impeccable services to TTD as the first Peishkar of Tirumala temple and also as an Epigraphist translated 1167 copper plate inscriptions at the Srivari temple.

He was also credited for bringing out most of the Annamacharya sankeertans and popularising them among the devout. The annual Varaha Jayanti was observed in Tirumala on Thursday.

Abhishekam was performed to the presiding deity of Sri Bhu Varaha Swamy.

TTD officials participated in this fete.
