Cyberabad Traffic Police have conducted a drive against vehicles causing noise pollution by using modified silencers, air horns, multi-tone horns etc.
This is in view of controlling frustrating noise pollution on the roads in the city. It can be seen that thousands of vehicles recklessly emit more sound and cause noise pollution and also many vehicles use air horns and multi-tone horns which create a kind of sudden fear among other road users.
Recognising this menace, CTP has started taking strict action against such persons by booking cases under the MV Act.
Mostly, heavy vehicles like school/college buses, RTC buses, lorries, tankers, trucks, etc use these prohibited horns.
CTP advises all school/college management, RTC authorities, owners of such vehicles to immediately replace such noise emitting prohibited horns with legally admissible horns.
