Chief Secretary Santhi Kumari held a meeting with officials and took stock of the arrangements being made for the state formation day celebrations. She instructed the officials to make elaborate arrangements for the two hour extravaganza to be held at the tank bund in the evening in a grand manner.
CS stated that there will be a grand cultural programme from 7PM in the evening till 9 PM. Various events have been lined up in the evening which include carnival with police band, flag walk with the state song “JayaJayahe Telangana” being played in the background.
Various folk and tribal art forms depicting the rich cultural heritage of the state will be showcased. The event will be culminated with a grand display of fireworks and laser show. Food stalls and shopping stalls will be set up for visitors apart from joy rides and fun games for children for playing, she added.
Chief Secretary directed the officials to appoint one nodal officer from each department and work in close coordination so as to ensure that the programme is held in a smooth and effective manner. Police department was told to make proper arrangements for parking and security.
DGP Ravi Gupta, Commissioner of Police Hyderabad K Srinivas Reddy,Secretary Political RaghunandanRao, Principal Secretaries Dana Kishore, Srinivas Raju,, MD TSPDCL Musharaf, Joint Metropolitan Commissioner HMDA Amrapali, Special Commissioner I&PR Hanumantha Rao senior police and other officials attended the meeting.
