Extensive arrangements were rolled out at Sri Padmavati temple in Tiruchanoor for Sri Varalakshmi vratam festivities on Friday.
After reviewing the preparations with officials at Asthana Mandapam, the JEO said the sacred Vratam will be performed on August 25 between 10am and 12noon and festivities in the evening included the procession of Swarna Ratham.
He said as of now 778 grihastas had purchased virtual Seva tickets for the vratam while 500 couples are going to participate live. He urged officials to take all steps keeping past experience in mind for the grand success of the event.
Among others, he directed officials to provide Annarasadam, buttermilk and drinking water, Sindhur packets, Kankanams, bangles packets for all women devotees, properly maintain queue lines, ensure the cleaning, deputations of employees, srivari sevaks and security guards, flower and electrical decorations in the temple, Asthana Mandapam etc. He advised HDPP to deploy bhajan troupes and SVBC to organize a live telecast.
Thereafter the JEO also inspected the arrangements and made valuable suggestions to officials .TTD released Rs.25,05,000 to 501 Bhajan Mandirs from SRIVANI Trust funds.
It may be mentioned here that TTD has earlier stated that each small temple (Bhajana Mandiram) constructed in the backward areas will be allotted Rs. 5000 per month from SRIVANI funds for performing Dhoopa, Deepa, Naivedyams (puja).
As a part of it, TTD has released Rs.5000 for each of 501 temples for the month of August.
