Plant Yagna “Green India Challenge” continues unabated. From commoners to saints and gurus, all are actively planting saplings and carrying forward the “Green India Challenge”.
The famous Yoga Guru, Spiritual leader and founder of the Art of Living organization, Sri Sri Ravi Shankar planted an Indian goose berry (Amla) sapling at the Manasa Ganga Ashram in Shankarpalli .
The saint was presented with “Vrikshavedam” book by Green India Challenge representative Raghava.
On this occasion Swamiji said that the “Green India Challenge” program initiated by Rajya Sabha member Joginapalli Santosh Kumar is stupendous.
He added that ‘Santosh idea of conserving nature with a view to safeguard future generations is fantastic.
The saint opined that there are two types of trees, one of which bears fruit and the other which give shade to the living beings. Both of these are useful to mankind.
He felt that there is a need to plant saplings recognizing the need of living beings.
He expressed that he was very much impressed with the way the Green India Challenge is going forward.
