One of the most important torrent fete, Sri Ramakrishna Thirtha Mukkoti will be observed in Tirumala on January 25.
According to Puranas, there are 3 crore 50 lakh torrents in Tirumala. Among them, Saptatirthas are prominent including Swami Pushkarini, Kumaradhara, Tumburu, Sri Ramakrishna, Akashaganga, Papavinasana and Pandava Theerthams are the most famous.
It is believed that if the devotees bath in these torrents on the specified full moon days, they will attain salvation.
Sri Ramakrishna Theertha Mukkoti occurs on Pushyami Nakshatrayuta Pournami on January 25.
Devotees trek the hard path in the deep woods and take holy bath on this auspicious day.
TTD has made elaborate arrangements for the event.
TTD has also appealed that devotees below 10 years and above 50 years, persons with obesity and those who have undergone surgeries are not allowed to visit Ramakrishna Tirtham.
While persons with diabetes, hypertension (B.P), thyroid problems, heart diseases can visit Ramakrishna Theertham by taking proper precautions.
A free bus facility from Gogarbham to Papavinasanam is arranged by TTD for the sake of devotees.
Devotees will be allowed only between 5am and 12noon to trek the path.
