Sreedharan is popular across the world as a Metro Man. Now a committee headed by Sreedharan will form the guideline and standards to be implemented by the Metros across the Country. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has approved the proposal to form a committee headed by the Metro Man Sreedharan.
He has served as the Managing director of Delhi metro from 1995 to 2012. Modi took this decision after the inauguration of Delhi Metros Gree Line service. The 11.2 Km long corridor will have seven stations and stretch from Inderlok to Mundka.
Prime Minister Modi suggested that the commuters must stop using the private vehicles and other forms of transport and use the Metro.
Our Priority is to build convenient, good, comfortable and affordable urban transport system in the metros and cities he said via video conference. The Telugu states are also planning to expand metros and the AP is also planning to lay lines for the Metro.
