I strongly condemn the blatant misuse of power and the illegal case filed against BRS MLA Shri Padi Kaushik Reddy, @KaushikReddyBRS, who visited the police station with a prior appointment from @acpbanjarahill1 to lodge a legitimate complaint about his phone being tapped said D Shravan.
Despite being an elected representative with legislative privileges, the MLA was resisted, humiliated, and instead, a false case was registered against him by @shobanjarahills…
This is a glaring example of the fascist governance of CM Shri Revanth Reddy’s administration.
How is it that Punjagutta PS @shopanjagutta promptly filed an FIR against former Minister Shri Harish Rao based on an unknown person’s malicious complaint of phone tapping, yet the same police force refuses to even accept a complaint against CM Shri Revanth Reddy, that too from an elected MLA? Does Telangana have one law for the Chief Minister and another for the opposition?
Such brazen partisan behavior by the Telangana Police not only undermines democratic principles but also exposes the police force as mere puppets dancing to the tunes of CM Revanth Reddy. When an elected representative is treated with such high-handedness, what message does this send to the common citizens? Are we witnessing the rise of a dictatorship where EVEN the rights of legislators are trampled?
This is a grave assault on democracy and the sanctity of legislative institutions. Telangana demands accountability, and the police must be reminded of their constitutional duty to uphold justice impartially, not to serve as enforcers of a dictatorial regime.
