Mahesh Babu’s SPYder is winning the US box office with the premiere and opening day collection amounting to a little over $11 million, reports trade analyst Ramesh Bala.
In USA, SPYder occupied 800 screens, making it the second biggest Telugu release after Rajamouli’s Baahubali: The Conclusion. The film opened in theatres worldwide on Wednesday and it has been an instant hit.
The film’s Tamil and Telugu versions have collectively made around Rs. 64 lakh in a day. According to Ramesh Bala, these box office figures are ‘excellent.’
Mahesh Babu, who primarily made Telugu films, debuted in Tamil Cinema with Spyder, which has been directed by A R Murugadoss, who has made hit films like Ghajini and Thuppakki.
