The speaker of Karnataka Ramesh Kumar said that he will do his duty and would not resign for the post. On the other hand, he has disqualified the rebel MLAs 11 from the Congress and 3 from the JDS. At the same time Kumara Swamy Gowda the JDS chief clarified that there was no question of supporting the BJP in the Assembly.

After the disqualification of 14 members, the magic mark is 105 and the BJP has the same. The disqualification in fact has helped the BJP and Yediyurappa we can say. All put together 17 MLAs have been disqualified so far in the Karnataka Assembly.

While the speakers say that a new election would be conducted in the constituencies of the disqualified MLAs, some of the MLAs have gone to the court challenging their disqualification.

Meanwhile, Yediyurappa is gearing up for the floor test on Monday and he has the required numbers. The BJP central leaders, on the other hand, are not showing up in the Karnataka Drama. They are not sure if Yediyurappa would come out with flying colours on Monday.

If the BJP Government falls again, there would no other option but to go for fresh polls in Karnataka.
