SP Balasubrahmanaym the singing sensation who sang thousands of songs in many languages passed away in the year 2020. Padutha Thiyyaga was his program where he introduced many singers to the silver screen.
Balasubrahmanaym was born in a Brahmin family in the state of Andhra Pradesh and was the uncrowned king for play back singing till recent times.
But after that he was confined to TV programs and other mediums but still singing for the cinema now and then, He has groomed several singers for the movies.
He died in a Chennai hospital due to Covid conditions. Both his sister Sailja and son Charan are singers. Sailaja is married to Sudhakar a popular cine artist and now busy with the TV assignments.
SP Balu also produced some movies and also did music for some movies. He was very close to directors K Vishwanath and Jandhayala. He was like a brother to Kamal Hassan giving his voice for dubbing for all his Telugu films.
There is a talk that Balasubramanyam contacted Corona in Hyderabad at Ramoji film city during an assignment. His son and wife accompanied Balu when he was not doing well in Hyderabad.
