In the process of environmental conservation and power saving Telangana Civil Supplies Department decided to use Solar Power. A Solar unit with a capacity of 50 Kilowatts, worth Rs. 35 lakhs is established in Civil Supplies Bhavan at Somajiguda. Commissioner for Civil Supplies Department Sri Akun Sabharwal inaugurated the solar unit on Sunday.
Commissioner said that in the process of encouraging Green Energy, solar power project is been established in Civil Supplies Department. With help of solar power load on customary power consumption will reduce. This project will generate every day near about 200 units and approximately 6000 units monthly.In the same way, if other departments can also put up Solar plants then there will be a lot of power saving and also be saving on the energy bills.
