Objecting to the appointment of Sudhakar Yadav as chairman to the TTD board and accusing the Government that it earlier tried to appoint a Christian as a board member, Siva Swamy of Shiva Kshetram demanded that a committee must be constituted to inquire into the missing jewellery in the Temple.
30 seers from various Temples would come together and walk to Tirumala from kanakadurga Temple of Vijayawada. They will start the walk for about 30 kilometres on daily basis and reach Tirumala by August 12 it is reported.
They would hold a public meet and announced the action plan demanding the government to find out about the missing jewellery as alleged by the former chief priest Ramana Deekhshitulu.
There are rumours that this could be either being supported by the BJP or the YSRC. Earlier Ramana Deekhistultu was spotted with some Christian priests while he was addressing a press meet here in Hyderabad.
But the board members clarified that the Pink diamond and other jewellery were intact and they did not lose anything for that matter. Now the seers want a gemologist to look into the diamonds if they were real or replaced by fake ones.
The matter was brought to the notice of CM Chandrababu Naidu and there is also court case pending over the missing jewels. Deekhitultu also approached the court for removing him.
