The film Sir is a winner. The story is predictable in many ways, but it is a hit movie. Director Atluri has weaved it in such a fashion that we like it for about two hours in the theatres.
SIR reminds us of Shankar’s Gentleman which is based on the education mafia too, but Dhanush takes the movie on his shoulders for smooth sailing.
Rajkumar Hirani’s 3 Idiots which throws light on the loopholes in the traditional education system also reminds us when we see the movie Sir.
The class war that is shown in Dhanush’s erstwhile film Raghuvaran B.Tech also occurs to one’s mind when you are watching Sir.
The treatment of SIR is a striking resemblance to Raghuvaran where an underdog takes on a powerful empire. These nostalgic moments make the SIR a predictable story all the way.
Yet the film has its own strengths that make the film work. Venky Atluri with the supervision of Trvikram Srinivas churned out the right dish for the Tamil and Telugu audience to begin with.
It will be good for the OTT market also. Making money is the name of Game and Trivikram gets all the credit for this concoction.
