Shuttler Sindhu will be participating in the Pushkarams finale Harathi event at Vijayawada it is reported. She has been invited by the AP Government along with her coach Gopichand and parents.
AP Chief Minister Chandrababu will be giving away the awards and rewards to Sindhu in front of the public. While both the Governments were claiming for the credit, Sindhus coach said that Sindhu belonged to India and that she has won the medal for the people of the country.
Perhaps this is for the first time that Ministers from the Telugu states formed a line to great a sports person that too a woman. The TS Government gave a rousing reception here in Hyderababad. Both the CM KCR and Governor Narasimhan felicitated Sindhu and Gopichand.
