Sheila Dikshit the three-time CMs last rites will be performed today in Delhi. Sheila died of cardiac arrest. She was 81. Her body was taken to her house at Nizamuddin from Okhla.
Sheila Dikshit’s body will be taken to the Congress headquarters for the leaders and the workers to pay their last respects and later would be created in the evening at Nigam Bodh Ghat.
The Delhi Government has declared a 2-day mourning in honour of the Congress leader and the three-time Chief Minister. Prime Minister Narendra Modi personally visited the house of Sheila Dikshit and paid his last respects.
Sheila has been regarded as a very senior leader in the Congress and she was one of the close confidants of the Gandhi family. Her rapport with Rahul Gandhi and Sonia Gandhi was very good and she enjoyed their confidence.
