Can Sharmila really take on her mighty brother Jagan in Andhra Pradesh? Can she make some difference to the Congress party which is in ICU is the question.
Y.S Sharmila, the sister of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y.S Jagan Mohan Reddy, was named as the Congress President of the state unit today.
This decision from the Congress leadership followed Gidugu Rudra Raju’s resignation from the position of Andhra Pradesh’s President a day earlier.
The Congress declared the appointment of the outgoing PCC President of Andhra Pradesh, Rudra Raju, as a special invitee to the Congress Working Committee.
Prior to the Assembly polls in Telangana, Sharmila strategically withdrew from the electoral race to prevent a potential division of votes, which could have favored former Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao.
Sharmila had previously declared YSRTP’s support for the Congress in the Telangana Assembly polls scheduled for November 30. Now there is every chance that the Revanth Reddy team would support Sharmila in AP.
But Revanth is equally to TDP Chandrababu and Babu withdrew from the fray in Telangana to help the Congress and stop KCR from coming to power.
So we have to see if Revanth would support TDP or the Congress party in AP.
