Sharmila the sister of AP CM is under house arrest today. The police have prevented her from going to Gajwel for a dharna against CM KCR. She is al set to join the Congress party and might campaign against her brother Jagan in AP for the coming elections.
She campaigned for Jagan’s victory and she is all set to campaign against him it is reported. But this is yet to be clarified. Right now she is arguing with the police at the Lotus Pond house in Hyderabad for moving to Gajwel.
She is sitting on a hunger strike at Lotus pond against the partisan attitude of the police in particular. In an earlier incident, she was dragged in her car on the streets of Hyderabad to the police station and later released on bail.
Her campaign vehicle was partially burnt by the BRS workers. So she will have to fight against the rulers in the Telugu states for the coming elections.
There is a talk that KVP Ramachandra Rao a friend of YSR and Shvikumar the Deputy CM of Karnataka are supporting Sharmila. But it is safe for Sharmila to join the Congress as it is not easy to run a political party.
People like Chiranjeevi have closed shops and joined the Congress in earlier times. Pawan Kalyan is struggling to survive. The Congress as such is doing better than the BJP in Telangana.
We have to see how far Sharmila will be able to adjust in Congress and fight against the Jagan and KCR Governments in the coming elections. There is a talk that she might get the Rajya Sabha seat also.
