Tamil star Vijay Sethupathi who is basking in the massive success of ‘Maharaja’, has reportedly declined to play the role of a father in hotshot Ram Charan’s upcoming film with director Buchi Babu.
“Vijay Sethupathi told makers that he already played a father role in ‘Maharaja’ and also played ruthless father to Krithi Shetty in ‘Uppena’, so he didn’t want to typecast and declined the offer from Buchi Babu,” says a source from Chennai.
“Vijay is quite clear about his choices and despite being offered big money, he wasn’t tempted and just thumbed it down since he wanted to do something different in Telugu and was waiting for it,” he adds.
Vijay always wants a fresh and challenging role and not the same old one. That is the reason he said no to the son of Chiranjeevi. In some areas his power if very high at the box office.
Sometimes the producers are ready to pay him on par with the heroes.
