Some other leaders of the opposition went to the extent of seeking Central rule that is President rule in the state of AP. The first phase of elections is to be held in 146 mandals.

It is reported that the Governor is supporting the decision of SEC to conduct the elections. The President of the employees association Chandrasekhar Reddy announced they will boycott the elections to protect their health.

Elections must be held after the Covid Vaccination process he suggested. If needed we will go on strike he warned. The High court has already said that both Elections and vaccination must go hand in hand.
