SEC pushes Jagan again for the elections: Constitutional Crisis

The SEC Nimmagadda Ramesh Kumar has issued notification for the first phase of Panchayat elections in the state of Andhra Pradesh. The State Government has filed a SLP against the conduct of elections in Supreme Court.

The Government employees are not obeying the orders of SEC and they’re not attending the duties. Now the ball is in the Court of the Supreme Court.

The Court cannot interfere in the conduct of elections the SEC opined. Some TDP leaders have suggested that the Central forces must be deployed in AP for the smooth conduct of the elections.

Some other leaders of the opposition went to the extent of seeking Central rule that is President rule in the state of AP. The first phase of elections is to be held in 146 mandals.

It is reported that the Governor is supporting the decision of SEC to conduct the elections. The President of the employees association Chandrasekhar Reddy announced they will boycott the elections to protect their health.

Elections must be held after the Covid Vaccination process he suggested. If needed we will go on strike he warned. The High court has already said that both Elections and vaccination must go hand in hand.
