Supreme court is OK with the Protem speaker .The Congress and JDS combine have petitioned to the Supreme Court questioning the decision of the Governor Vajubahi on the appointment of Protem Speaker. They objected to the appointment of Ganapathy as the protem Speaker as he was not the senior in the house and that was not done as per the earlier precedents.
There is another MLA who has been there for 8 terms and that he should be appointed for the protem speaker post. Ganapathy is close to Yeddyurappa and that he might do something favouring the CM in the process of the floor test.
A three-member bench will look into the matter at about 10.30 and if they decide against the Protem speaker then the Governor will take some more time to appoint a new Protem Speaker.
There is a chance that the floor test might be postponed to select a new protem speaker. If the floor test is postponed then it becomes advantage BJP as they will get some more time for increasing their strength and gathering the MLAs. SriRamulu the MLA and Gali family is working for luring the MLAs from the Congress and JDS. Even the Congress and JDS are trying to lure the disgruntled BJP MLAs.
There is every chance that the floor test may be postponed.
