Mining baron Gali Janardhan Reddy who is on bail cannot campaign in the Karnataka elections the Supreme Court ruled out. There was no need for Gali to campaign in the elections the Court ruled. On the other hand, many family members and close friends and followers of Gali Janardhan Reddy are contesting in the Karnataka elections.
Gali was in jail for illegal mining and is no out on bail but active in Karnataka politics. BJP President Amit Shah has kept Gali out of the main campaigning scene as Gali is a tainted man and was in jail on corruption charges. Now the stakes are very high for these elections and a high octane campaign is on in Karnataka.

Winning or losing the election could be because of Gali family. If BJP loses then Gali Janardhan and his family can be made a scape goat. If it wins Modi will take the credit.
