Aadhar has become a big issue for the common man. Aadhar was introduced in the Congress regimeby Nandan Nilakeni as a business proposition after coming out from Infosys. He contested the election on Congress ticket and lost to BJP. Now he is chummy with the BJP top guns also.
Earlier Modi said that self certification was not needed for any individual. Now he said every Indian is a VIP. But how can the Government make Aadhar compulsory for everything. For PAN you need Aadhar, for bank account you need Aadhar, you dont know what will you ask to authenticate Aadhar.
The Supreme Court asked the Modi government to justify the move to make Aadhaar compulsory for filing Income Tax returns, according to a report.
Rapping the government, the apex court said, “How can you make Aadhaar card mandatory when we have passed an order to make it optional?”
Responding to this, Attorney General Mukul Rohatgi said the government had found that a number of PAN cards had been used to divert funds to shell companies. To avoid this, Aadhaar had to be made mandatory.
The apex court then announced it would decide about the mandatory Aadhaar issue on April 26, said the report.
The government in March made providing Aadhaar number a compulsory requirement for filing IT returns, as well as for obtaining and retaining the PAN.
However, in an order dated August 11, 2015, had said that Aadhaar cannot be made compulsory for government schemes.In fact the card makers looted the Congress Government. The brokers looted the individuals with Aadhar. The xerox business has also gone up as every individual will take a xerox copy of Aadhar.
Next people say unique ID number cards will come into existence. Then you have to give this number to authenticate Aadhar No. Then how will you treat an individual as a VIP when you dont believe him.
