Governor Narasimhan said that Saraswathi that is education has become Lakhsmi that is money. He found fault with the way education is being commercialised by some vested interests. He was speaking at the Telugu University today. He said that proper education should be imparted to the students and that they must be job worthy.The Governor of the Telugu states said that the Telugu the language should be protected.
While all other states and also other countries are protecting their mother tongue why not the people of AP and Telangana he questioned? He found fault with the way the parents are looking at education and also the education institutes imparting education in a commercial format.Education should be for the sake of knowledge he said. Telugu must be taught and Telugu must be used as a spoken language. No doubt one must learn other languages also but not at the cost of our own language he opined.
The syndrome of I must go and people must talk in the language of we. That is unity he said. The Hai and Bai culture must do and one must say Namaskaram he suggested. He also recommended the join family culture where all live together and prosper. That is the way of life one must follow he explained. He lauded the efforts of Telugu Viswa Vidyalayam in protecting and propagating the Telugu culture in a big way. One must not run for the money but think about serving the poor and society he said. Only money should not be the criteria he stated.
