Sama Veda parayanam from May 1

The Sama Veda Parayanam (Koutuma) will commence in Tirumala on May 1 onwards.

This will last up to June 30th. Six batches of Vedic scholars will render this at Ranganayakula Mandapam in Tirumala temple every day between 9am and 10am.

In connection with the 1008th Avatarotsavam of the great Sri Vaishnava Saint Sri Ramanujacharya, a three day programme has been mulled by TTD between April 23 and 25 in Tirupati.

The three-day festivities will be observed at Annamacharya Kalamandiram between 6pm and 8:30pm on these days which includes literary programs and Sankeertans.

The programme commences with the Anugraha Bhashanam of both the seers of Tirumala. TTD EO Sri AV Dharma Reddy on Thursday directed officials to promote steps to organise a special session with private hospitals and district administration to spread awareness on organ donation among the public and TTD employees.

Addressing a review meeting at his chambers in the TTD administrative building with the TTD JEO for Health and Education Smt Sada Bhargavi, the EO said three more children are waiting for heart transplant operations besides the recent successfully performed twin operations at Sri Padmavati Children’s Heart Centre(SPCHC).

He instructed officials to be vigilant on brain dead to promote organ donors.
