Vidyasagar Rao the former Maharashtra Governor is joining the BJP. Today he would be coming to the BJP office and taking the membership to join the active politics.
He was the Governor for Maharashtra and also Tamilnadu. Vidyasagar popular as Sgarji in the political circles is a lawyer and was an MLA also. After that, he has worked as the BJP President also and developed the party.
Sagarji worked as the Minister of the state for Home under Vajpayee. He is distantly related to the Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao. In fact, Sgarji helped in negotiating some irrigation projects for the sake of Telangana Government when he was the Governor.
After coming back to Hyderabad, now Vidyasagar wants to do service to the party. That is the reason he wants to join his party again. He was delinked from politics after becoming Governor.
He has a lot of command on the party and is a senior like Bandaru Dattatreya in the Telangana BJP circles. Vidyasagar is related to TRS MLA CH Ramesh. Sagarjis experience will definitely help the BJP in improving the status in Telangana. Perhaps this is the first time that a person is joining the politics again after working as the Governor of a state.
