There is a lot of Hungama going on around the name of Sabitha Indira Reddy the former home Minister popular as Chevella Chellamma. She stood against the storm of KCR in the recent assembly election and has won from Maheswaram.
Her son Karthik Reddy was expecting a seat from Chevella to contest as an MP, but could not manage the same. karthik also tried for Rajendranagar MLA seat but could not get the same from the Congress party.
Now that the Congress is in doll drums, people say that they are looking at TRS. There are rumours that Mahendar Reddy the former Minister TRS is working out for them with the TRS chief Chandrasekhar Rao.
The way Chandrasekhar Rao praised Sabithamma for her suggestions in the Assembly during the budget shows that he is, in fact, looking at Sabitha.
On the other hand, the TRS wants some votes from the other side for winning the 5th MLC candidate. With the numbers they have the TRS can win 4 seats and the 5th seat was given to MIM.
There is news everywhere that the TRS chief is going to take Sabithamma and her son Karthik into TRS. The deal is that Sabithamma will be made as a minister and then Karthik will get the Chevella MP seat to fight against Vishweshwar Reddy who left TRS and joined the Congress.
As a Minister Sabitha was very close to the then Chief Minister YS Rajasekhar Reddy. Her husband was also a Home Minister in the TDP regime.
Let’s hope the TRS will win over Sabitha and her son into TRS making the party further stronger.
