“Telangana Society is a matured one. The State has farmers with lot of awareness. After the formation, the Telangana state has become one of the great Agriculture based states in the country. The government’s aim is to make future of agriculture bright and prosperous. Towards this goal, the state government suggested the regulatory farming policy. The government’s desire is to make agriculture stable, institutionalized and the farmers should get assured income. For this purpose only Regulatory farming policy is suggested. In response to this, the farmers reacted in a wonderful manner. The farmers have realized that the government made the suggestion for their welfare. Hence they made up their minds to go in for the Regulatory farming. This is a great forward step. To make agriculture, which was regarded as a wasteful vocation, a profitable venture, and to make the state stand as number one in the country in the farm sector, the farmers have taken the forward step by accepting the regulatory farming. The government will extend more support to farmers in future. The ultimate aim of the government is to make the farmer a King. Towards this aim, a good beginning is made,” the CM, said.

“Farmers in the state are ready to start cultivation for the Monsoon crops. Give Rythu Bandhu scheme benefit to them without any delay. The work to deposit Rythu Bandhu Scheme money into farmers account will begin soon. Money will be deposited in the farmers’ bank accounts in ten to 12 days. This is a proof of the government’s commitment to stand by the farmers,” the CM said.

This Rabi season, due to availability of water from the projects as well as the good rains, the crops cultivation may increase by another 10 to 12 Lakh acres. Paddy should be cultivated in 45 Lakh acres, Maize in 6 to 7 Lakh acres, Chickpeas in 4 Lakh acres, Ground Nut in 5 Lakh acres, vegetables in 1.5 Lakh acres and the plan should be made based on this.
