Akshay Kumar’s much talked about film ‘Rustom’ got an impressive opening despite clashing with Hrithik Roshan starrer ‘Mohenjo Daro’. While Mohenjo Daro opened at around Rs 8.75 crore, ‘Rustom’ earned around Rs 14 crore on the day of its release. The opening day is the fourth best of 2016 after ‘Sultan’, ‘Fan’ and ‘Housefull 3’.
The films are however expected to improve during the extended Independence Day weekend. The Tinu Suresh Desai film also stars Ileana D’Cruz and Esha Gupta as female leads.
On the other hand Rustom is being promoted by other film stars also.
