Hero Krishna and Hero Nagarjuna together did a movie called Varasudu 25 years ago. It was an average hit. Now Dil Raju is using the title Varasudu.
There have been rumors that Varasudu is a Tamil remake of Maharshi. The team had denied the same already.
Dil Raju agreed that Varasudu was offered to Allu Arjun and Mahesh first. They opined that it had some old flavor in the movie. Finally, Vijay has done this with Rashmika Mandana.
At the pre-release event of Varsudu, Varisu in Tamil, Dil Raju spoke at length about the film. He again confirmed that it’s not a remake.
Varasudu will have to compete with the movies of Chinrajeevi and also Balakrishna for this Sankranthi season.
“Varasudu is not a remake nor is it a sequel of any film. It is a proper Tamil film that caters to the family audience. All I can say is that the family audience will have a feast in theaters this Sankranthi season.” Dil Raju said.
The star producer added that Vijay is an absolute superstar and he thoroughly enjoyed working with the latter for Varasuduu. In fact Dil Raju has alredys sold out the movie in Tamilnadu for a profit.
Now he is testing the waters in Tollywood. He is sure that he can get some profit during the festive season.
