The TDP members raised the issue of disinvestment of the Vizag steel plant today. The members Rammohan Naidu and others demanded that they must not privatise the steel plant.
The Union Minister said that the plant was making losses and that was the reason it was being privatised. The members demanded that mines must be allocated for the steel plant.
The Minister said that the management will change for the plant and it will run. There will be no problem for the employees. The TDP member Nani said that several members sacrificed their lives for achieving the steel plant.
All the Telugu people fought for the steel plant Naidu explained. The Government must make a rethink over the disinvestment plan Naidu suggested.
The centre must rethink the issue and there is no clarity on the answer given by the minister he said. The Union Minister agreed that they were for the privatisation of the Vizag steel plant.
The members of the opposition on the other hand were agitating against the rise in the fuel rates for the second day. The TRS leaders staged a dharna in front of the Gandhi statue against the rise in petro rates.
