The AP Government has announced that all the Anna canteens will be reopened from August 15nth in the state of Andhra Pradesh. Already free food is being served from the Anna canteens and also Dokka Seethamma canteens.
Jana Sena is serving free food in the name of Dokka Seethamma called the Annapurna of Andhra Pradesh. The people used to get breakfast, lunch and dinner in the same Anna canteens for Rs 15.
But Jagan closed them for the best reasons known to him. The labor and working class especially the construction workers used to depend on the Anna canteens.
Some MLAs have already started these free food joints in the constituencies. The people are very happy with the free food. The same will be reopened from Independence Day.
The GHMC is also serving Rs 5 food in Hyderabad in some of the areas. Chandrababu and Minister Narayana are monitoring these canteens across the state.
There is a talk that some donors also have come forward to run some of these canteens. Anna is the name for NTR and the canteens are very popular.
Serving free food has been going on in several parts of the state even in times of Jagan but not in the name of Anna canteens.
