RRR picks pace in the North

The cash registers from North have started ringing for the RRR movie. It is a late start we can say.

Director Rajamouli the director and Danaiah the producer are having a lot of hopes on the collections from the Bollywood audience. But the cash registers are not rining in the Hindi language it is reported.

No doubt the movie has made a break-even, the interest on the finances and the other amounts have been paid by the producers. Now, whatever comest is the profit.

But it is not doing as expected. That is the reason the promotions are being done on a larger scale for the Bollywood audience.

The total amount spent on making was Rs 330 Cr. Including the interests incurred this is rounded to Rs 400 Cr. The remunerations of all the star cast and technicians are rounded to Rs 125 Cr . The amount spent on publicity from the last year throughout India was Rs 50 Cr. So all put together, the total amount spent so far was Rs 575 Cr.

The Telugu rights of the film were sold at Rs 300 Cr approximately. The non-theatrical rights in all the languages were sold at Rs 225 Cr.

The overseas rights were signed at Rs 70 Cr. The theatrical rights of other languages like Tamil and Malayalam were sold at Rs 40 Cr approximately. This totals to Rs 635 Cr.

The situation is not bad now. The bookings in the Telugu states are good.
