K Chandrasekhar Rao the CM of Telangana along with his family members has offered prayers during VIP Break darshan on Wednesday morning and offered gold ornaments worth `5.59 crore on behalf of the TS government to fulfil his vow.
In his return journey the TS CM will offer prayers at Goddess Padmavati shrine. The temple town of Tirumala was fortified in view of the presence of the TS CM.
Chief Minister KCR was accorded a rousing reception upon arrival at Tirupati airport by a special flight on Tuesday. On behalf of the state government, AP forests minister Bojjala Gopalakrishna Reddy, along with his wife and son received Mr Rao, his wife Shoba, daughter K. Kavita and son-in-law Anil Kumar.
Among others, TD Tirupati MLA M. Suguna, YSRC Chandragiri MLA Chevireddy Bhaskar Reddy and BJP former city president K. Ajaykumar also received Mr Rao at the airport. Mr Rao left for Tirumala by road, amidst tight security.
In view of the election code in force, police did not allow the general public who came in about 10 buses from various parts of Chittoor and Tamil Nadu to receive Mr Rao into the airport premises.
However, they stood on both sides of the road and greeted the TS CM as his convoy passed by. At the Padmavathi guesthouse in Tirumala, Mr Rao was received by TTD chairman Chadalavada Krishnamurthy and joint executive officer K. Srinivasa Raju.
TS ministers T. Harish Rao, Pocharm Srinivasa Reddy, Padmakar, Indrakaran Reddy and Etala Rajendra were also present with the TTD officials.
