No one thought that Roja the film star and MLA will not get a berth in the Jagan cabinet. Most of them were sure that Roja would become a Minister. The way the people celebrated in her constituency showed that they had a lot of expectations.
There was hype from the beginning that she would be the speaker of the AP Legislative Assembly to control Chandrababu Naidu in the house.
It may be noted that she was debarred from the Assembly by the TDP government for her unruly behaviour and abusing the then CM Chandrababu Naidu.
It is reported that Jagan first wanted Roja to be accommodated in the cabinet. But some changes and thinking in the last hours made Jagan to be dropped for the time being.
It is learnt that Jagan has called Roja twice to his camp office and explained to here about the reasons for not being able to accommodate her in the present cabinet. She was assured of a plum post in the near future it is learnt. If not she could be accommodated in the next expansion it is reported.
But right now Roja has isolated herself and did not come for the oath-taking ceremony. People were seen discussion about Roja at the venue of the swearing-in ceremony. There were reports earlier that Prashant Kishore the poll strategist who worked for Jagan did not like the approach and also the attitude of Roja.
She was given the MLA seat by the YSRC but the core team in the party never thought that she had the qualities of becoming a Minister. But still, her followers are of the opinion that she could get a surprise post soon.
