Mitra, an indigenously-built robot by Bengaluru-based Inventor, has greeted the Ivanka Modi the two leaders with a ‘Namaste’ and then proceed to have a conversation with them. In fact, Mitra will have a partner as another bot will also be deployed at the venue.
While one of the bots, designed by Balaji Viswanathan and his 14 member team, will be present at the dais and interact with the dignitaries present there, another is expected to socialize with the audience.
He said, “The GES is an ideal forum for us to display our ‘Made in India’ robot. Given the high profile dignitaries and the tight security, Mitra will have limited interaction on the dais.
When the PM and Ivanka Trump come, Mitra will move towards them and have a conversation. They can then press a button which will prompt Mitra to sing that the summit has been declared open.
