Rising the ticket rate for 10 days is not right

Raising the cinema ticket for the first ten days is nothing buck cheating the cine goer. The producer wants to take the money from the cine goer before he realises that it is a hit or flop.

If the cinema is good the people will automatically encourage the movie and it will run for many days. This helps in recovering the money. If the movie is bad it will be very difficult on the second day itself.

Leaving the ticket to the discretion of the producers and exhibitors is not right. There should be a uniform ticket rate for the movie from the beginning to the end.

High ticket rates are also keeping some cinemagoers away from the movie in the beginning. Acharya is the latest example. People have outright rejected the movie from day one.

If the movie is good, money recovery is no issue at all and Akhanda is the best example. Instead of trying to loot the public in the initial days of release, it is better to make good films with better content and give an entertainment at an affordable ticket rate.

Run the cinema for a long and recover the money. Releasing the movie in a large number of theatres at one time is also to fool the cine goer.
