The BJP Government has appointed Rishi Kumar Shukla as the new CBI chief. He was the DGP of Madhya Pradesh earlier and he has resigned from the post 3 days ago. Shukla will take the charge from Nageshwar Rao who was the Incharge for the CBI. Shukla also worked in the Intelligence department.He belongs to 1983 batch. It may be noted that Rahul Gandhi has been making charges against the Government on the removal of the former CBI chief and also bringing in the chief on a temporary basis.
Rahul charged that the whole exercise was done to hide the truth in the Rafale deal. Where was the need to remove the CBI chief after the midnight he questioned? Whey there should be an in -charge he questioned. Now the government has appointed Shukla as the full-time CBI chief who would be in power for the next two years.
