Commissioner Of Police, Cyberabad Shri. M. Stephen Raveendra, IPS., along with the other officer garlanded the portrait of Kaloji, paid floral tributes and observed silence in respect of the departed literary and cultural leader of Telangana at a conference hall in Cyberabad CP office.
Cyberabad CP Said Celebrating Kaloji’s birth anniversary as Telangana Language Day was fitting tribute to the great poet.
Kaloji Narayana Rao, who is popularly known as ‘people’s poet’, participated in many movements including the separate statehood movement.
The State government is celebrating the birth anniversary of Kaloji officially and announce the day as Telugu Literature Day.
He is one of the great poets who gave the slogan of ‘birth is yours, death is yours but the life is meant for country’ (Puttuka needhi, chavu needhi kani brathukantha deshanidhi). Kaloji is known for writing poems in different and unique style.
Kaloji had spent his life in inspiring and motivating the people socially and politically. He used his pen as gun and wrote the poems which had great impact on the people. He strove hard for establishing a library in every village.
Kaloji is called as great humanist and as a Telangana Vemana. He stood as a role model for many and became an inspiration for present generation youth, he added.
