Parliament members Komatireddy and Revanth Reddy have almost gone underground after winning the elections to the Parliament. They were seen at Gandhi Bhavan for the felicitation. Later they did not bother about the happenings in the Congress party. Both were treated as firebrand leaders and have been elected to the parliament. But these days they are lying low.A hunger strike camp and dharna are going on at Indirapark. Senior leaders have participated and even juniors have expressed their resentment against the TRS and KCR. But both the new MPs did not bother to come to hunger strike camp. They are in Hyderabad, but they did not bother to react over the issue.
There are strong rumours in the party circles that they might join the BJP, like Ponguleti Sudhakar Reddy. Senior leader V Hanumanth Rao was also of the opinion that they might be looking at the option of changing the party as there are just 6 MlAs for Congress in Telangana. It is natural that the MPs would like to join the party in power.
The Congress is in ICU in both the Telugu states. The Congress as such is in a very bad shape in the country and it might take another 10 years for its revival. The announcement of PM Narendra Modi in Tirupathi shows that they are keen to develop in Telangana, Andhra and Tamilnadu. This will definitely force the lawmakers of other parties to look at BJP.
