The TDP move of resignations taken by Chandrababu the CM of AP is politically motivated say some political analysts. This is to face the next elections with ease they explain. The other thing is that they want to resign before the YSRC makes the MPS resign and get some sympathy from the people of AP.

Earlier in 2004 also TDP dumped the BJP. But the BJP under Modi once again tested the TDP -Babu and they have shown the real colour. Amaravati received over Rs 3400 crore in the 4 years and centre has taken over the Polavaram as a National project.
The centre has assured to arrange 90 percent of the funding for the central aided projects to AP.The state is all set to get Rs24271.91 crore as additional funding in the near future.

AP was given permission for Naval Air station-Missile Manufacturing, DRDO facility, NOA range, troops centre, BEL unit, Airports, 7 institutes, 950 medical seats, DD Kendra, AIR station, passport centre.
The special status given to the states was for those who have tough terrains like the Himalayas and states prone to National calamities.
During the division of states, special status was promised by the then Government and was not given so far. For some time Babu was convinced on the special package given by the NDA Government. But he took a U-turn as YSRC and others were taking political mileage out of the situation.

The Congress party and Rahul have promised for the special status to AP if they are voted to power.
If TDP has to survive politically there is no other go but to resign from the centre.
