Report on Paddy procurement

The CM Revanth Reddy instructed the officials to submit a report on paddy procurement every day and ensure the availability of lorries for the transport of paddy to the rice mills.

Farmers are already expressing happiness for providing Rs 500 as bonus to the farmers who harvested fine Paddy varieties, the Chief minister said clarifying that collectors should take steps to immediately purchase the Paddy at the procurement centers.

The People’s Government is ensuring the purchase of all crops at a reasonable price in every case where the market price is lower than the remunerative price. Paddy has been harvested in 66 lakh acres in the state. Another 20 lakh acres are yet to be harvested. Paddy was also coming into the state from border districts to avail the bonus announced by the government , the CM said warning the officials should be vigilant.

“ We are going to celebrate the farmer festival in Mahabubnagar on November 30. We are also organizing an exhibition of agriculture and allied sectors in Mahabubnagar on November 28, 29 and 30. Farmer awareness programs with modern methods, mechanization and model farmers in the agricultural sector will also be part of the exhibition .

CM Revanth Reddy said that all the collectors should coordinate to make the farmers' festival a big success on November 30 . The CM ordered the collectors to take strict action against the millers who indulge in irregularities and appoint additional staff at the purchase centers to speed up the paddy procurement . The CM emphasized that the government's development and welfare programs, schemes, and the facilities provided to farmers for Paddy procurement at the centres should be
widely publicized so that it reaches the people.
