Decades after it had turned into a mammoth sewer, dying a slow death and with nothing but stench marking it, the once-mighty River Musi has come alive again, courtesy as it rained cats and dogs last night.
There has been a steady flow of water through the river channel since late on Monday, with the water levels at a comfortable height and enough to touch both banks.
The sight of the river flowing, at least after 15 years, is drawing crowds to bridges across it, including the Purana Pool and the Nayapul, just to witness a rare spectacle.
