it looks like some sections or Kammas are peeved with the way babus son Lokesh is being elevated in party and Government posts. The latest being Rayapati in open against Chandrababu.
In what could be a shocking development, Telugu Desam Party MP from Narasaraopet constituency Rayapati Sambasivarao has made sensational comments against party chief Chandrababu Naidu. Sambasivarao alleged that Chandrababu isn’t taking Kamma community within the party into consideration. He alleged that Naidu is ignoring the people who have been striving hard for the party and who have been working for party’s growth.
Is Babu going against Kammas ? If you analyse JC Diwakar Reddys the MPs speeches carefully you will realise this. JC always says that Babu is the CM who is doing a lot for Reddys and he thanked them several times for working for the welfare of Reddys.
But the general perception is that Babu should work for the welfare of the Kammas in particular. The same was stated by a heavy weight in Kammas.
Levelling serious allegations, Rayapati alleged that Chandrababu is backing a community in the party to save his position and for votes. Claiming that the party’s cadre in villages were disappointed with Naidu, he cautioned that this would affect the party in the long run. He said that none of the TDP senior leaders from Kamma community are not able to question Naidu, Rayapati added that he’s a ‘junior’ in TDP and hence he also couldn’t strongly question Naidu.
Rayapati said that he doesn’t need to fear for anyone as he is not going to contest direct elections hereafter. Rayapati said to have made all the above allegations in a closed-door meeting of Kakatiya Convention working committee held in Guntur.
But Naidu in particular after the division of the state has been striving to appease all sections of the society. He does not want to take the tag of Kammas CM. It is reported that he also cautioned JC not to talk about the cast factor in the meetings. He also assured JC that both Kammas and Reddys will get due prominence in this TDP Government.
