Deepika Padukone starrer ‘Padmavati’ has been in news since its inception. The woman-centric period film is SLB’s next most ambitious project and stars Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor. Nonetheless, all is reportedly not well between SLB and his blue-eyed boy Ranveer.
It is being speculated that Deepika will be convincing Ranveer to do the film irrespective of role, the other male lead in the film plays.
Deepika will essay the titular role in ‘Padmavati’ and Shahid will play her husband Raja Rawal Ratan Singh. Ranveer will be the main antagonist – Alauddin Khilji.
There have been reports suggesting that Ranveer is not happy with Shahid’s presence on board ‘Padmavati’, as he feels the latter would steal half of the screen space. According to a report in media, Ranveer reportedly wanted SLB to bill Shahid’s role as “Guest appearance” in the film’s credit title, but the filmmaker declined the suggestion.
Reports suggest that SLB has been facing a tough time because of Ranveer, with who he has delivered two back-to-back blockbusters – ‘Goliyon Ki Rasleela Ram Leela’ and ‘Bajirao Mastani’.
