Rangareddy in semis

The first phase of the ongoing Telangana premier kabaddi tournament, organized by Chintala Sports Pvt Ltd will come to an end at the Jawaharlal indoor stadium Hanmakonda today. Rangareddy Raiders have been invincible so far, winning all five matches they have played so far, that too quite convincingly. They have shown wonderful all round performance.

While Selvamani and Muneesh excelled in raiding, having the lionsshare Amid and Sreenivas have been superb in defense. As they assured a semis berth they can rest important players in the last two league matches in the second phase which will begin on 2nd February at Karimnagar. Yeasterday they toyed with Khammam Cheetas In front of a huge gathering.

In the first match Karimnagar Kings were done in by some poor decisions as they had to settle with a tie against Hyderabad Bulls. But they still have two matches to go and since they will be playing at home, can enjoy the home advantage. Nalagonda Eagles, who are almost out of the tournament will meet Siddipet Stallions in the first encounter today, while Gadwal Gladiators will take on the local team Warangal Warriors in the second one, the last at this venue.

Ayyapa Reddy the coach of warriors will be strategizing some plans to stop Mallikarjuns onslaught, as he has been in devastating form. Warangal have to win all the remaining matches to be in the semi-finals race.
